At Playhouse Preschool we believe that children learn through play. Emphasis is placed on social interaction and the individual growth of each child within a play-based curriculum. We believe play based means that children can freely explore and interact with their environments. With the gentle guidance of their teachers, children can delve deeper into topics that build upon each other and uncover new concepts that grab their interests. If we’re learning about the ocean and we start talking about tides and their relationship to the moon and someone brings up astronauts, then off to space we go!
At Playhouse we provide opportunities for children to discover things about the world they live, while teachers gently guide but do not interpret it for them. Children have the freedom to explore and discover the world around them through imaginative play, building, constructing, and creative art projects. Activities and play areas are structured in ways that allow for cooperative social interaction, creative personal expression, and thoughtful investigations. At Playhouse we emphasize kind and empathic interactions with the natural world around us by creating a culture of respect and gratitude. The children are provided with a consistent predictable rhythm during the day to provide security, structure, and comfort. Just like the name, Playhouse is a home away from home for the children, providing them with a warm home-like environment to explore, manipulate and discover.
I found a great fit here. My daughter can be extremely challenging and they are absolutely willing to deal with any child. Any transition, the women that work there are by far the reason I feel confident in leaving my baby girl every morning. I cannot express enough how happy I am with the nice children that attend and the great teachers that are employed there.

My daughter went here from 2 yo to 5 yo. The curriculum that they taught here had our daughter so prepared for school it was like kindergarten was a refresher of everything she was taught at this preschool! This preschool is beyond amazing! The staff is so friendly and inviting. They let the children explore and learn through their play while also teaching them all the basic skills they need to know for kindergarten. Oh and they have animals for the kids to interact with and help care for. Overall amazing school and program!
